Who are we?

We at Gaia are small, new and dynamic. We develop and produce videos on a range of Complementary Therapies and related fields. In addition, we have agreed to market a selected range of videos made by other people.

Core philosophy and Operating policy

Business is often seen as abusing and manipulative, less than honest and uncaring, of either people or outcomes. We aim to be different.

We intend to develop a relationship with our customers and suppliers based on mutual honesty and respect. As part of this philosophy, Gaia will supply videos and other products dealing only with topics which we believe are Life Enhancing, and not detrimental to either individuals or the wider environment.

Our promise: Reasonable quality for reasonable price

Our commitment to the above approach is reflected in our pricing policy. We believe that, consumers frequently pay more than necessary for products. For our part,we intend that our general range of videos will not cost more than £9.99 per unit. Posting & packaging costs also will be kept to the minimum.

Any prices above this for special products these will also be set in line with this approach.

Why a Website?

The many ways offered in Complementary and Alternative approaches to a healthy life makes any journey complex and confusing. Recognising this, we have set up this Website to help anyone interested find their way round this fascinating but sometimes confusing world.

Besides mainstream therapies and approaches, we are also including 'Lifestyle' tips on such things as how to change the way we eat, look, walk, even think and talk.

All this will be done in three ways:

1. By offering an increasingly wide range of products, each of which we believe gives some insight into one or more aspects of a particular topic.
2. By a series of articles outlining core aspects of different therapies or beliefs. Initially written in-house, we plan to extend this to recognised authorities in each field. (This month it is a brief article on the GAIA Philosophy)
3. By reporting on new developments whether it be an emerging new therapy, or looking at the scientific evidence for ones already existing.

Size, Growth & Pricing

Size does matter! Trouble and disappointment will arise if you exaggerate to impress! To ensure that we at Gaia get this exciting venture right, we're starting small and taking it step by step. Our product range, initially of a range of videos, will be expanded only as our Networks become fully established. Expansion into any area will occur on a carefully phased basis.

Who are we aiming our Site at?

Everyone who has an interest in this rich and varied world, whether they be an experienced professional or someone who feels, however uncertainly, that there is another, perhaps better, way to deal with their ailment or problem.

This said, there is one group we particularly welcome:
Those who are 50-plus

Today many people over fifty aren't playing by the old rules! We're starting to look both at, and inside, ourselves. We increasingly realise that whatever 'society' may say, 'we neither look nor feel as being past our sell by dates.. Rather than letting others do our thinking for us, we're re-evaluating ourselves on the basis of our values and our worth.

Sometimes, however, a problem can arise. Though we know we're not past it, it's sometimes difficult to get support for our new found confidence. Although we know that we want - and are able to continue - doing exciting things, looking or feel differently, it can be difficult to get information on what is actually available or possible.

This is where we at Gaia come in.

Over the coming months, we will be introducing a range of videos specifically developed to fill this gap. They will include ways to regain lost fitness and advice on personal styling.
